1997 – John Deere 4700 Hi Clearance Sprayer Introduced

1998 Model Changes

2001 – John Deere 4710 Hi Clearance Sprayer Introduced

  • John Deere turbocharged PowerTech® 6.8L diesel engine – 200 HP
  • 5 percent power bulge at 2200 rpm will give 210 HP
  • 800 US Gallon solution tank
  • 95 US gallon fuel tank
  • 4 speed ranges – Spraying speed @ 20 mph in 3rd range – Transport speed @ 29.6 mph in 4th range
  • Larger tires – 380/90R46, 320/90R46, 420/90R46, 20.8R38 (flotation tires)
  • 60 inches of Underframe crop clearance
  • GreenStar® Ready CommandView cab for Parallel tracking (option)

2002 Model Changes

  • GreenStar® ReadyCab (standard equipment) allows nearly effortless Parallel Tracking setup
  • Remote throttle allows easy access from the ground to increase engine rpms (option)
  • New 3-inch Quik-Fill will decrease fill time by half (option)

  • 5% power bulge provides 236 hp
  • larger wheel motors and new final drives to accommodate increased hp
  • new 7920 style flip up hood
  • boom utilizes tube through plate technology from the 4920 for greater strength
  • boom return to height function allows operators to consistently set the height of the center section
  • auto air spring levelling system allows operators to deflate and reinflate suspension air bags
  • new command arm with boom indexing and speed range on hydro handle

2005 - John Deere 4920 Hi Clearance Sprayer Introduced

  • Solution System Air Bleed, purges air from primary solution system allowing for continuous spraying without having to stop and bleed air, due to over agitation or dry nurse tank hook – ups
  • Pressure and Boom Strainers relocated from rear of sprayer to fill station area, allows for easier servicing
  • All flowmeters run through extensive testing at the supplier, at the factory, and during final machine wet runoff, shutoff valve now added for easier flow meter servicing
  • ACD Calculation changes, ACD values at each ignition key cycle for improved boom charge performance
  • New Corrosion - Resistant Hardware, Zinc-flake-coated hardware is being phased in across all areas of the machine

4030 Model Changes

  • eductor has approximately 40 percent more capacity than the standard eductor and will allow customers to use larger containers
  • all Model Year 2009 machines made AutoTrac Ready (Greenstar Ready Order option eliminated)
  • automatic lubrication system kit is available from Lincoln Industrial and is compatible with the 4730, 4830, 4920, and 4930 Sprayers
  • Fuel fill ladder now factory ordered & installed

4730 & 4830 Model Changes

  • Eighty mesh strainers are now standard equipment on all 4730 and 4830 Sprayers without the option for deduct
  • Field Vision™ Xenon high-intensity discharge (HID) field lighting option is available to all 09 model year sprayers

4930 Model Changes

  • As a part of the model year 2011 changes for 4730, 4830,
    and 4930 Series Sprayers, a new direct-injection foamer has
    been added (the same ordering codes as the previous model
    year), replacing the model from the previous model year machines.
